introduction

There are many different reasons why I chose this subject. One reason is that over the past few years I have been involved in a gaming genre base around the armed warfare of the early 20th century, predominately ww2 era. This has intrigued me to research and discover if these military armored warfare developments where as influential to the outcome of the war as the games present them to be.
One thing I want to discover is how the development occurs and if and why some these developments never actually reached the front line. Importantly I do want to see if these failed designs and prototypes help develop future designee, as well seeing how designers found ways around new threats the enemy posed upon there side thought the war.
Due to the outcome of the war, I what to understand if the armored forces on both side lead to one sides loss and if certain changes could have change outcome war. To help me answer this question I will look at equipment from the countries on both sides and study there different statistics like fire power, speed and Armour. I will also look in to their numbers, battle uses and the amount of training the pilots and tank crews would have participated in before entering serves.

As you can see from the detail of which I want to research, this it is a subject I enjoy, feel passionate about and in which I what to lean more. I am also looking forward to telling people about some of the unsung heroes of the war, the many researchers and designers who built some of the famous war machines that we still now and love to day like the spitfire, mosquito, Churchill and tiger.
